fulfill the requirements for the Tennessee Handgun Safety Class (H.G.S.).

In these troubled times the knowledge of
personal defense skills may be lifesaving. It is a fact that the police
are unable to protect all of the people all of the time. Because of this
the burden of protecting your family or yourself, may possibly be
dependant on your self-defense skills. Although without a working
knowledge of weapon operation and safety, an armed person may be more
dangerous to his/her family or himself/herself than the threat he is
protecting against. Whether a novice or have trained somewhere else, this
course will take you through step-by-step designed drills to enhance your

hours Prerequisite: Basic or Practical
This course gives the
student solid training in the defensive use of the handgun. Our classes
are geared towards teaching practical, reality based firearm
techniques. In this 16 hour course the student will be instructed in:
- New firing positions; including movement, and barricades
- Cover tactics and mental training skills to improve your odds of
survival on the street.
- How to achieve effective control of the handgun during high stress
shooting situations to help cut down on misses and poor hits
- The secrets of effective trigger control to ensure that the hits are
proper and centerline
- Reactive shooting skills to enable the student to respond to sudden,
deadly force situations
- New visual skills and sighting techniques that work under high
stress conditions
- Multiple target engagement
- One handed shooting
- Alternate shooting positions
- Low light shooting techniques

This course will
fully test your gun handling skills. This intensive course requires your
best gun handling techniques and is intended to develop strong tactical
shooting skills. In this course the student will:
- Test skills learned in previous classes – movement, low light
situations, barricades, one handed shooting, and immediate action drills
- Evaluated in speed and accuracy drills
- Introduced to tactical simulators
- Introduced to presentation from concealment
- Engage Multiple targets
- Utilize support hand shooting and reloading

day of shooting! Not for the beginner! In this course you will put to the
test your entire weapon handling skills: movement, multiple targets,

Prerequisite: None
This course introduces you to the
fundamentals of defense with the semiautomatic carbine the 5.56mm (.223
Remington) and the 7.62 x 39mm (.30 caliber Russian Short), effective from
pistol range out to medium distance, approximately 300 yards. In this
16 hour course the student will be instructed in:
- Marksmanship and safety basics
- How to zero weapon and understand trajectory
- Firing positions, movement, use of cover, off-hand snaps and use of
barricades
- Indoor/outdoor tactics
- When to shoot and not shoot
- Malfunction clearances
Equipment Requirements:
- Ammunition: minimum of 500 rounds rifle, (no green tip)
plus 50 rounds pistol

Have you been thinking about getting a shotgun for home
defense or just interested in learning about the weapon?
For many generations, the shotgun has been a traditional tool
for protecting one's family and home, as well as for hunting and
competition. However, few people have received proper
instruction in the training necessary to maximize the
effectiveness, comfort and safety of using a shotgun. This class
will have a combination of lecture and hands-on range work.
Basic firearms safety and legal issues will be discussed, but
you do not have to be familiar with shotguns. You are encouraged
to bring your own shotgun and ammunition, but this is not a
requirement. A limited selection of shotguns is available for
use in this course, by prior arrangement. During this course,
you will:
- Review safe gun handling and range safety
- Learn to shoot a shotgun without pain
- Learn administrative handling, loading and unloading
- Learn about equipment and ammunition considerations
- Review home storage, safety and cleaning

This
course is designed for the individual with primary focus on use of the
shotgun in an operational/defensive status. Tactical shotgun is directed
towards developing tactical shooting skills and understanding the multiple
functions the shotgun has in a real world environment. In this 16 hour
course the student will be instructed in:
- Shotgun characteristics and accessories as well as different
carry/sling techniques.
- To effectively and efficiently mount the gun from high and low ready
positions as well as perform quick and efficient reloads and Ammunition
Change-over drills.
- Utilize Recoil Management during a multitude of drills involving
multiple shots on multiple targets from static, 90 and 180 degree facing
movements.
- Learn to handle your shotgun with extreme confidence while shooting
adverse angles, shooting on the move.
- Shooting the shotgun in a variety of positions and transition to
those positions under strict time requirements utilizing different types
of cover and concealment.
- Progress to shooting hand only pistol shooting to enable you to
effectively transition to your secondary weapon.

In today's society many of you have decided to go armed on a
daily basis. In this class you will receive lecture and hands on
training. Lecture topics will cover: how to properly carry a
concealed weapon, what weapon is best for you, use of force
continuum, metal preparedness for use of force, legal issues
pertaining to going armed, how to survive physically and legally
in an deadly force situation.
Range work will cover topics of: drawing from a variety of
positions, clothing apparel, reactive shooting vs precision
shooting, decision making shooting, and multiple targets
engagement, just to name some. This is not a beginner's course
nor a Handgun Carry Permit Course. You should have a good
working knowledge on gun handling and safe usage of same.
This
course is for the business owner or citizen who plans on
carrying a handgun everyday to protect their business or their loved
ones. This course will cover:
- Mental conditioning
- Combat triangle / mind set
- Choice of weapons

to your loved ones if used improperly. Additional topics

Not to Become A Hostage but Survive If You Do |

Hostage, Mugged, Carjacked, all of these words bring fear to
the heart of the average person. But there are many things that
a person can do and not become a victim. But if you do, there
are things that you can do that will optimize your chances of
surviving this potentially deadly situation.
In the four hour lecture the participant is provided a short
history of deadly situations and how they could have been
prevented. In the eight hour version there is role playing on
how to overcome some the pitfalls of being a victim and
techniques on how to survive if you are attacked.
This class is geared toward families, groups, or corporate
entities. It can be configured to the business's time frame. We can
sculpture the class from a four hour lecture to an eight hour
lecture with role playing. It will deal with:

- Evading capture
